City Art Centre

This is a safe, playful and supportive drawing workshop for women of all abilities, including complete beginners. Come and have a go at depicting yourself or other beloved females (sisters, friends, mothers, lovers...) We will use simple exploratory drawing and painting techniques to move beyond mainstream and perfected representations of women.

The workshop is not about being good at art, although good artists are very welcome. Drawing Real Women is about supporting workshop participants to set their artistic insecurities aside, and encouraging them to dive boldly into a creative and hopefully liberating process of creating authentic images of women.
